Kathleen Warriner has been involved in musical activities from the age of seven to present day. Walking down the street in Lexington, Kentucky to her weekly piano lessons, her love of learning music began. After moving to Michigan, she learned clarinet in her school band program, including private lessons at the local University throughout her high school career.

Kathleen moved on and earned both a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Music Education. She has taught at various Michigan Public Schools as a Band Director, Choir Director and an Elementary Music specialist, along with serving as Adjunct Faculty for the Fine Arts Department of Kellogg Community College.

Kathleen’s passion for music brought her into the music theatre world when her children became active in the youth theatre programs. She soon began Music Directing for youth and adult productions for area theatre organizations. Some of her favorite shows have included Catch Me if You Can, White Christmas, Shrek the Musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, Big the Musical, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Curtains.

She performs regularly on multiple woodwind and keyboard instruments. Pit orchestras are one of her favorite activities, where she doubles on clarinet, flute, alto/tenor saxophone and her newest instrument, an Electronic Wind Instrument. Kathleen has played numerous productions with favorites including A Gentleman's Guide to Love and MurderFiddler on the Roof, A Chorus Line, Pippin, The Addams Family, Guys and Dolls, The Producers, The King and I  and many more.

Her latest musical achievement has been the formation of MISDIRECTION, an entertainment band consisting of four talented musical colleagues on bass, guitar, and percussion, where Kathleen plays leads on clarinet, alto sax, flute and her Electronic Wind Instrument. The band performs multiple venues with a mix of pop, rock, jazz and world musical styles.
